News Sentinel Field Trip

I worked at Shades of Development summer camp this summer. Our last field trip of the summer was to the headquarters of Knoxville's News Sentinel to see how they make the daily newspaper.

Fourth of July

The most exciting thing about FOURTH OF JULY in Tennessee for us is that ALL FIREWORKS ARE LEGAL!! We got alot of different fireworks and Grandma and Grandpa came over to help us celebrate.. TJ and Tyler were extremely happy that the people at the fireworks store gave them lighting sticks and they were able to light their own sparklers.

Tiffany and Tyler made "Happy Fourth of July" signs

Home Depot Kids "How to Clinic"

Before Aunt Dawn, Aunt Nicole, Grandma Diane, Emory and Lance leave to go home we went by Home Depot to make a Baseball Shelf at the kids clinic. Uncle Timmy said we were a bunch of traitors since we were going to Home Depot, we assured him we were not going to buy anything!! Dawn reminded him that we are actually costing Home Depot money since we are taking 5 kids to the clinic to make stuff!! Uncle Timmy suggested we should walk through Home Depot doors and say "Let's Make Something Together" which he says is Lowe's slogan.. Grandma Diane actually DID IT!! But she is the brave one!!
